The First Annual VASA Resident Award

The First Annual VASA Resident Award will be for Basic Science Research and will recognize the most meritorious research paper on angioaccess by a Resident or Fellow in in Surgery, Radiology, Nephrology or Internal Medicine.
 
Papers on basic research or clinical research dealing with vascular access maintenance, creation or demographics are eligible.
 
A Committee comprised of the President, Past-President, President- Elect and three senior and prominent investigators, who have expertise in basic science from outside the Society, will select the award winning submissions. The recipient of these awards will present his/her paper at the time of the Annual Meeting and receive an award of $1,000.
 
The manuscript for these Awards is to be submitted to the Journal of Vascular Access  or possible publication and should be written according to the guidelines for electronic submission in the Journal of Vascular Access.
